Likes UP: Unfriend Event on Facebook
Have You Been Invited to an Unfriend Event on Facebook?
This Thursday my friend is having an Unfriend event on Facebook.
Facebook has a limit of 5000 friends and more than one person has hit the limit. What I like about this Facebook event is that there is a link for a WEBINAR as part of the unfriending event process. And, it is priced at whatever you want to pay. An interesting touch in the unfriend event.
If you suddenly got a HUGE Facebook Friends influx and your personal profile account now overflows with more than 5000 friends there is a reason. That is because Facebook decided to count all your “deactivated” friends in your friend count. VERY ANNOYING because it means you cannot add any more friends. Since I have the same issue, I took her up on her unfriend event request and removed her from my friends list. Thanks, Tamara!
The Unfriend Facebook message reads from the pull down menu: UNFRIEND
Are you sure you want to remove {First Name}{Last Name} as your friend? (Note: {First Name} will still be subscribed to your public updates unless you block them by clicking the Report/Block link on her profile or turn off subscriptions.)
Well, after some research my, In Real Life friend and Facebook friend, Ernesto Verdugo, found a way how to get rid of all these deactivated friends in the best possible way.
Watch this video if you want to dump all those deactivated FB friends that are blocking you from adding real friends (start video at 2:15 minutes of 5 minute video): http://screencast.com/t/M99DH1Jx
Most important tip is to NOT click the “okay” button the first time you remove a friend but just continue to scroll through your friends list.
When you click on a deactivated account, you will continue a message that says “Remove from Friends.”
