Glass is a virtual transparency over the entire web where you can write notes “on top” of any website similar to writing on transparencies.

A new service that installs into your browser can make LIKING and commenting easier.   Share via email or social media.  Sites that do not have social media share buttons installed can easily connect to Facebook and Twitter.  You control who receives every thing you share, so it’s as private or as public as you define.

Glass is great for capturing thoughts so you can return to an idea later, but sharing and collaborating with friends is even better.

You can use the buttons to search and find and invite friends from other services.

Or, if you want to share something, just enter their email address on a slide and they’ll get an invite and notification that they have something on Glass.   This service is in beta.  It installs in the browser and the beta version currently works with Firefox and Chrome.

The Stage Glass or Glass platen as some may refer to it, is one of the most commonly replaced parts on an Overhead Projector. The image below from schooloutfitters.com is used in a teaching environment.  The break-resistant glass withstands heavy use.

Sharing screens is a transparent way to express your thoughts on a subject that you find interesting on a website.  When you give it your comment or “LIKES UP” you project your comment via email or through social media to share with others.  You choose whether it is public or private and the reach of your post.

There is an immediacy with Glass because instead of sending a link, you can send your comment “on top” of the web page in the moment, in context with the page, allowing you to share the experience of your reaction and thoughts.
